Best Viewed with IE or Opera. Sorry, Firefox works, but loses some sidebar layout,
'my profile' and other stuff... Anybody with a fix, please leave a comment. Many thanks in advance.

That said, if you must use Firefox (and I don't blame you, it's become my browser of choice, too)
...get the "IE Tab" extension. This allows you to view problem pages with the IE rendering engine. Very cool!

Giving to the Rich: War? Disaster? Deficit? Forget 'em: It's time for Tax Cuts

Call it irresponsible. Call it indefensible. Call it inequitable, a burden on future generations and a gift to the richest Americans at the expense of the majority. But don't call it surprising.
 
The distressing fact about the $56-billion tax cut approved last week by the U.S. House of Representatives is that Americans have learned to expect this kind of behavior from their elected representatives. Whatever the circumstances ? which now include a hideously expensive war in Iraq, the reconstruction of a major city in the aftermath of a hurricane, a new prescription-drug benefit for Medicare, staggering annual deficits, and a mounting national debt President Bush and the Republican majority in Congress can be relied upon to prescribe the same illusory cure: tax cuts that disproportionately benefit the wealthy.
